Quite late on this blog post, some topics I want to cover is my short lived spring break and this last week.
During my spring break I decided to carpool back home instead of take the usual plane ride back home. This not only saved me 300 dollars but the hassle of crappy plane service and delays.
My buddy sherman drove me, we had some breakfast at iHop before we headed out for the 6 hour drive. Nothing too interesting here, we just listened to recent ASOT’s and a couple of my sets on the way back.
My spring break unfortunately starts two weeks earlier than everyone else so not many people were around. I spent most of my time at home, watching tv series, eating, working on a set and spending time with family. My TV watching at the moment consists of Terminator: SCC (Summer is hot), Dollhouse, and 30 Rock. I love these shows, Terminator started off pretty good but has been kinda going down hill, but it is still a decent watch. Dollhouse had a rocky start but is starting to pick up fast, Joss Whedon’s stuff usually gets good later on. 30 Rock has always been a hilarious show, I was a little late on the bandwagon on this one, the show is well made (written by Tina Fey) and always is a good laugh. Also, I did manage to watch a few shows of “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”, his first show I think was horrible but he is quickly improving and getting settled in. He’s definitely been less nervous lately and having more natural interaction with his guests. Best of luck to Jimmy.
I did do one fun activity over break and that was snowboarding! My brother took me to Mountain Creek in north jersey. It was my first time snowboarding therefore I had a very tough time in the beginning getting started. We went all the way to the top first and took the green route, I had to first learn carving which was hard for me to grasp at first. I fell down quite a lot however after many tries I finally got carving down and it was quickly becoming quite enjoyable.
The morning after, my body was aching everywhere making it hard to move out of my bed, but well worth it.
My good friend Jacob was also home for break and probably the only one too. I hung out with him a few times over the course of spring break. I taught him some Ableton and we went out to each a couple of times. More info at his blog.
Anyways that was the gist of it, spring break wasn’t very eventful lol.
Now to talk about the present, one of my hard drives is on the verge of failure. This particular hard drive is a Seagate 500GB hard drive and has all of my music stored on it. So right now, I am temporarily on hold while I wait for my 1TB Western Digital hard drive to arrive next week. I hope I’ll be able to backup everything before it fails so wish me luck!
I also figured out the date of the first Episode, November 5th, 2008. I had lost this information awhile ago due to webhost crapping out earlier in the year last year. Anyways, Episode 40 is approaching, I wonder what I should do for it…. Mega Mix Special #2 ?
